Youth Director

Thalia United Methodist church is seeking a part-time youth director.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic person with interest and experience working with and growing Christian-based programs for youth in grades 6 through 12. The qualified candidate will be able to help the congregation plan, prepare and coordinate youth programs. The person will be responsible for developing special programs for youth, including retreats, recreation activities, service activities, educational opportunities, camps, etc. Active participation in all youth activities and church worship is required.

The Thalia United Methodist Men's Scholarship is now available for download on the UMM page.

Applications are due by June 4, 2010 and the scholarship recipients will be announced June 13, 2010 during the 11:00am Worship service.

In the event of inclement weather, please watch the TV. If we are forced to cancel worship, the local stations will have us listed.

We will be going to the "Golden Triangle" of TX to help with hurricane recovery, June 20th - June 27th.

The cost per person, including airfare will be around $500.

Each person planning to go must submit a "mission trip form" and pay a $50 deposit by May 1st.
