New Men's Bible Study begins Sunday, July 13 at 6:30PM.

This new men's Bible study will meet once a month on the second Sunday at 6:30PM. We will meet in the New Corinthian's classroom upstairs.

In addition to being facilitated in lively discussions regarding scripture, participants will also be encouraged to occasionally lead the group in a meaningful study.

The topic for July 13, faciliated by Dennis Morgan, will be the issue of homosexuality in the life of the church, with the simple goal of coming to understand the positions taken by various sides of the issue.

For questions or more information, contact Mark McKinney, Dennis Morgan, Ron Pritchard or Dan Cott.

Stop Hunger Now Packing Event - August 17 after the 11:00AM service.

It'll take only 2 hours to pack 10,000 meals if we have 40 - 50 volunteers. These meals go to third world countries for distibution to hungry kids through school feeding programs.

This is a fun event that families can do together - youth and kids are encouraged to participate. Bring friends from your neighborhood; the more the merrier.

We need to raise $2,500 to pay for the packing supplies. Please make checks out to Thalia UMC and put "Stop Hunger Now" in the memo line.

Questions? Contact Dan Cott: daniel_cott@yahoo.com or 757-963-8422.
